In the German language there is a name for the light from a field of dew covered grass that reflects back towards the observer, Heiligenschein. These series of paintings are of a somewhat similar light phenomenon, they are of the sunlight that is reflected from the hoods of the cars on the street below my apartment window. The only adjustments I made to the original reflections was to remove the distortion.
